Expanded Practice Sessions to Provide Continuing Ice Hockey Opportunities

After a successful winter season at the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Recreation Rinks, ESYHF is expanding practice times at the University of Pennsylvania’s Class of 1923 Arena and Polonia Bank Flyers Skate Zone to accommodate those players who participated in ESYHF AfterSchool programs during the past 4 months.

The hundreds of players who took part in ESYHF AfterSchool programming at Scanlon Ice Rink, Tarken Ice Rink, Simons Ice Rink, Rizzo Rink and the Laura Sims Skate House are encouraged to continue playing hockey during these expanded March sessions. As always, ice time, equipment and experienced coaching are provided at no cost to participants. Ice times are as follows:

Class of 1923 Arena @ Univ. of Penn – 31st & Walnut

Mondays & Fridays – 3:45pm to 5:15pm

Wednesdays – 5:00pm to 6:30pm


Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philadelphia - 10990 Decatur Rd

Monday – Thursday starting at 4:00pm
