ESYHF SEASON KICKS OFF AT THE NORTHEAST AND UPENN

ESYHF Offers Free After School & Weekend Programs to Local Students

The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation is excited to kick off the 2007-2008 season with After School & Weekend Programs for Philadelphia students. Sessions will take place at the Polonia Bank Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philadelphia and the University of Penn’s Class of 1923 Arena in West Philadelphia. These on-ice sessions will be open to all students wishing to further their ice hockey development. All players are welcome including beginners and more experienced players. ESYHF programming, including ice time, equipment and experienced coaching is offered at no cost. Times are as follows:


Northeast Skate Zone:

Mondays: 4:00pm – 5:45pm

Tuesdays: 4:00pm – 5:10pm


Class of 1923 Arena:

Wednesdays: 6:15pm – 7:15pm

Thursdays: 4:00pm – 5:15pm

Saturdays: TBA


As the season progresses, additional dates and times will be added to the schedule. Please check the calendar on the ESYHF website for an up-to-date list of events. Space is limited and students will be registered on a first-come/first-serve basis. Pre-registration is required, so don’t wait to sign up! We’ll see you on the ice!


The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization, provides underserved children with the resources and opportunities to learn to play ice hockey. The program gives children of all ethnic and economic backgrounds an opportunity to develop life-enhancing values such as teamwork, positive self-esteem, respect and an appreciation for hard work to achieve individual goals and success.
