The 2011 Philadelphia Flyers Celebrity Golf Invitational will be held at the newly renovated Trump National Golf Club - Philadelphia at Pine Hill, NJ on Tuesday, September 13th, 2011.
Several key elements will truly set this event apart:
- Set atop southern NJ's highest point providing views of the Philadelphia skyline throughout the course, Trump National Golf Club will astound. World renowned golf course architect, Tom Fazio, has designed a property that has received numerous national accolades and has rightfully taken its place among America's greatest courses.
- Every foursome will feature a member of the Philadelphia Flyers.
- The Reception Dinner will include wonderful prizes, special guests, and unique live and silent auctions featuring amazing outings and a road trip to a regular season game to be selected among several exciting destinations, including Boston, Nashville, Toronto, and Pittsburgh on Ed Snider’s private plane; this excursion will be hosted by Hall of Fame Goaltender – Bernie Parent and teammates from the Broad Street Bullies.
- All revenue benefits the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation and the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, and Ed Snider has agreed to personally match every $1 raised with $2 of his own.
Comcast-Spectacor is committed to improving the quality of life in Greater Philadelphia. Since its inception, it has contributed nearly $23 million to deserving local charities. If it matters to Philadelphia it matters to Comcast-Spectacor.
Snider Hockey serves 2,500 inner-city children using the sport of hockey to educate young people to succeed in the game of life. To further its mission to build lives and unite communities Snider Hockey has invested $6.5 million matching a grant by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to renovate the City’s 5 public ice rinks. This $13 million project includes enclosing 3 of these inner-city rinks for year round use, as well as building new classrooms, learning centers, and public space in each of these facilities. The project will enable the Foundation to double its current capacity.
