Who We Are

The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation’s mission is to have a profoundly positive impact on the lives of underserved children in the Greater Philadelphia Region by providing a program that incorporates both on-ice and off-ice activities. The program is provided, at no cost, to both boys and girls. The Foundation provides the equipment, ice time and experienced coaching.

What We Do

In addition to teaching children how to play hockey, the Foundation seeks to instill in our participants life-enhancing values such as teamwork, positive self-esteem, the importance of hard work, and respect for themselves and their teammates.

Why We Do It

A charitable and passionate man, Ed Snider is eternally grateful for the many ways that hockey had enriched his own life. Out of respect for the sport and the athletes who play it, he established the Foundation to allow hockey to touch the lives of children in the Philadelphia area that might not otherwise have that opportunity.

How You Can Help

There are always opportunities to help support the Foundation.  Hockey or skating experience is helpful, but not critical, and both men and women are encouraged to volunteer.  To find out more about donation, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, please visit How to Help
